Overview
This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Energy Team at Liverpool University Hospitals while completing the Level 3 Junior Energy Manager Apprenticeship. It is a two‑year fixed‑term contract and will be supervised by the Carbon and Energy Manager. The successful applicant will work within a dynamic team of energy and sustainability professionals in the Estates and Facilities Department.
The apprentice will receive at least 20% formal training and support from an external apprenticeship management company.
Responsibilities
- Energy data collection, analysis and reporting; presenting data in a clear and attractive format, for example monthly energy performance reports
- Assist with the creation and implementation of plans to reduce energy use of the Trust
- Complete internal energy audits, surveys and checks, e.g., energy monitoring
- Assist in reviewing policies and practices in light of new or changing regulation, best practice, and Trust policy
- Assist in the creation and delivery of awareness days, behaviour change campaigns and presentations to staff about best practice
- Support the energy manager in the rollout of energy projects such as solar installations, renewable energy feasibilities, and preparing grant fund bids that are designed to support decarbonisation
Apprenticeship Details
The apprenticeship requires completion of the Level 3 Junior Energy Manager Apprenticeship over the two‑year period. Work experience will include energy projects and training activities.
