Home Manager – Well-Established Care Home
Location: Canvey Island
Salary: £48000-52000
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience managing elderly focused residential homes
- NVQ5 in Leadership and Management
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations, compliance requirements, and inspection processes
- Demonstrated ability to improve CQC ratings from Requires Improvement to Good, or maintain consistent Good ratings
- Experience managing and developing a large, multidisciplinary team
- Ability to promote and sustain a positive staffing culture, with a focus on retention, morale, and professional growth
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Be an effective communicator and confident decision maker
- Be able to maintain all regulatory and legislative requirements, including CQC standards
- Have a proactive and strategic approach to service improvement
- Show commitment to person centred care and high clinical standards
- Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and clinical governance processes
- Be capable of fostering strong relationships with staff, residents, families, and external stakeholders
