Customer Representative (Part‑time)
Nationwide is looking for a Customer Representative to work part‑time (17.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday) at our Ilkeston branch in Derbyshire. The role is permanent and works across all channels – in‑branch, phone, and online – to support customers with transactions, product applications, and digital banking services.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle transactions on the till and support product application processes.
- Manage inbound calls and web enquiries, providing first‑class service.
- Educate customers on digital services and the benefits of Nationwide’s product range.
- Provide customer support through phone, online chat, and in‑branch encounters.
- Maintain accurate customer records and follow procedures for banking and customer data.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Comfortable using digital tools and applications.
- Strong customer‑first behaviours: empathise, speak honestly, challenge status‑quo, prioritise impact, and take accountability.
- Flexible to work within the 45‑minute commute of the Ilkeston branch.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to a diverse customer base.
- Positive, team‑oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.
