Position Overview
Reporting to the Hub Operations Manager you will oversee daily operations and maintenance activities on a number of renewable energy assets (mainly wind) in a geographical area with flexibility to operate beyond that region to suit business needs. Working from home, you will be open to travel with overnight stays as required. You will support the Asset Management Team by maintaining statutory, safety, quality and environmental standards, conduct site inspections as required and assist the Hub Operations Manager in maintaining contractual obligations.
The position will be based on one of the windfarms in the Campbeltown area, Scotland. You must live within one hour of this location. All candidates must be available for face‑to‑face interviews.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all site tasks are carried out under the RES Site Rules, Business Management System and Wind Turbine Safety Rules. Support and training will be provided as required.
- Provide first line response to site significant defects and any emergencies in an expeditious manner to support the Site Operations Management team in meeting contractual obligations.
- Perform asset inspections of generating equipment, civil and site electrical systems according to an inspection schedule. Conduct contractor compliance checks and ensure their adherence to safe systems of work.
- Inform the Hub Operations Manager promptly of issues and operational risks to avoid impacts.
- Prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment. Be accountable and take responsibility for successful delivery of all tasks whilst observing the highest safety standards.
- Be flexible to travel on an adhoc basis and occasionally at short notice in response to any emergent site task, and be open to nights away from home as required.
- Follow company defined processes and procedures and be flexible to change, including asset allocation/area of responsibility.
- Assist the Hub Operations Manager in ensuring each asset is compliant with all applicable regulations following company process.
- Maintain general compliance and housekeeping of each site, including amenities during scheduled site presence.
- Deliver cost savings and add value as an embedded skill.

- Attend refresher training as required while building on those competencies once competencies are achieved.
Knowledge
- Demonstrable transferable knowledge.
- Knowledge of how a windfarm operates.
- A basic understanding of Health & Safety and its application in the workplace.
- A basic awareness of International Standards Organisations (ISO) requirements and benefits would be an advantage but not essential.

Experience
- Practical experience as a wind turbine technician would be advantageous.
- Responsible and mature approach.
- Experience dealing with multiple clients or involved with planning submissions.
- Experience in an operations environment with supervising contractors/3rd parties.
- Adapt and evolve plans in a fast‑paced environment.
- Task prioritising.
- Efficient working.
Qualifications
- Level 3 in a relevant subject with demonstrable transferable skills (preferred but not essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
