About us

National Gas is securing Britain’s energy. We transport gas throughout Great Britain, repair and maintain gas pipelines, and manage the meters that allow millions of homes and businesses to access the energy they need. We are the national gas network, providing secure energy to power Britain, achieve net zero, and maintain our industrial competitiveness.

The East Region maintains seven compressor stations across Hatton, Peterborough, Cambridge, Huntingdon, King’s Lynn, Diss and Chelmsford, is home to the Bacton North Sea Gas terminal, and is supported by a Peterborough based regional office hosting key corporate and technical teams, all with a strong focus on empowering people and making it a great place to work.

About the role

From early planning through to final handover, this is a role where you’ll be right in the mix. We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor with strong cost management leadership skills and excellent presentation ability, who enjoys variety, collaboration, and seeing their work make a real difference on site.

This role spans the East of the UK, a strategically critical region for gas transmission, with Peterborough as your hub and sites ranging from the Humber to the Thames.
