Commercial Manager required for one of the UK's most established Civils and Construction businesses within the Energy sector on a freelance basis.
Job Role
As a Commercial Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing the commercial performance of projects across multiple sites in South Wales, with Caldicot as your main base. This is a hands‑on role requiring a balance of strategic oversight and day‑to‑day commercial management.
This is a hybrid position, with a mix of site visits and remote working depending on project needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of projects
- Provide cost control, forecasting, and reporting
- Lead on contract administration and risk management
- Work closely with project teams across various sites
- Support procurement strategies and subcontractor management
- Ensure compliance with contractual and financial processes

Requirements
- Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial role
- Strong understanding of contract management and cost control

- Knowledge of relevant contract forms and commercial practices
- Willingness to travel across South Wales as required
- Available to start at short notice
