Reed Recruitment is working in partnership with a well‑established and growing food manufacturing business based in the Craigavon area. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking two Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their engineering team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers who are confident working across both mechanical and electrical disciplines within a fast‑paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
  • Maintain and support a range of automated and semi‑automated equipment
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure maximum machine efficiency
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives

Qualifications

  • Recognised mechanical and electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a multi‑skilled engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid mechanical maintenance experience (conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics)
  • Experience with PPM systems and breakdown maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG
  • Awareness of GMP, HACCP, and hygiene standards
  • Experience with packaging machinery or automated production lines

  • Proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to work
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills in a production environment
