Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

£50,000 Basic Salary
6–2 / 2–10 Shift Pattern (Monday–Friday)
We are currently recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established and growing manufacturing business based in Leeds. The Role
As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment across the site. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will carry out both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and support continuous production.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance on a range of production and process equipment
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and reactive maintenance issues
- Fault finding across electrical and mechanical systems
- Support continuous improvement projects across the site
- Work closely with production teams to maintain maximum line efficiency
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills
- Experience working with production machinery and automated equipment
- Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
- A proactive approach with strong problem‑solving ability
