Position details

Position: Operations Manager

Location: Crossness Sewage Treatment Works, South London Region (Abbey Wood, Greater London)

Job type: permanent, full time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (times to be discussed at interview), plus participating in the on‑call rota

Salary: OTE £43,900 to £48,300 dependent on experience

About the role

Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste‑water network and drainage problems.

As an Operations Manager you will be a key part of the management team and you will oversee high‑level HR duties, liaising with the Recruitment Department to manage depot requirements and setting training standards. You will also be responsible for the analysis and improvement of the organisational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency for your region. This is a field and office‑based role covering the South London region where you will work to improve customer service and wastewater network performance through effective leadership and the performance management of staff. You will be responsible for the management of the supply chain and analysing performance ensuring that targets are hit.
