BCP Council is seeking an experienced senior manager to lead the delivery of coronial and mortuary services across Dorset. This is a high-profile statutory role at the heart of public service, supporting the Coroner and other professional staff to deliver dignified outcomes for bereaved families.
The role: You’ll be the senior operational lead for the Coroners Service and Mortuary Service, working closely with the Senior Coroner and key partners including Dorset Council, Dorset Police and health services. As the business manager you’ll ensure services are compliant, efficient and responsive, even in the most challenging circumstances.
From leading and supporting a skilled workforce, managing contracts and budgets, IT support and acting as a Human Tissue Authority licence holder, to playing a critical role in emergency planning for excess deaths and mass fatality incidents – this is a role with real responsibility and real impact and requires a high degree of business administration experience.
