Hours: 50 hours per week (10-hour days, Monday start)

Contract Type: Contract (LTD / PAYE / Umbrella)
Rates
- LTD / Umbrella:
- £25.00/hr – First 37 hours
- £26.50/hr – After 37 hours / First 4 hours Saturday
- £28.89/hr – After 4 hours Saturday / Sunday / Bank Holidays
- PAYE:
- £18.50/hr – First 37 hours
- £19.61/hr – After 37 hours / First 4 hours Saturday
- £21.37/hr – After 4 hours Saturday / Sunday / Bank Holidays
The Role
We are looking for Fitter's Mates / General Operatives to support installation works on a major transmission substation project. This is a hands‑on role working alongside mechanical and electrical teams on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with mechanical and electrical installation activities
- Supporting cable pulling and general installation works
- Carrying out general labouring duties across site
- Working closely with Chargehands and Site Supervisors
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures
- Supporting team delivery to programme deadlines
Requirements
- SSEN Substation Authorisation or SPEN Authorisation
- CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport
- Experience working on infrastructure / construction / energy projects
- Previous substation, power, oil & gas, or heavy industrial experience preferred
- Strong understanding of health & safety on site
Desirable
- Experience on high voltage substation projects (NG, SSE, SPEN etc.)

Compliance
- Drug & Alcohol testing may be required
- Medical clearance may be required
