Children’s Residential Support Worker

Pay Rate: £13.00 – £13.50 per hour

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in Tring. You will be supporting children and young people in a residential care setting, helping them build stability, independence, and positive outcomes for the future.
This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be part of a supportive team that provides a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or instability in their early lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people with daily routines and life skills
- Build positive, trusting relationships
- Promote independence, education, and personal development
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all young people in your care
- Follow care plans and contribute to reviews and assessments
- Support with behaviour management using positive and trauma-informed approaches
- Maintain accurate daily records and reports
- Work as part of a team to ensure a consistent and safe environment
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Caring, patient, and resilient
- Passionate about supporting xwzovoh children and young people
- Able to build strong, positive relationships
- Calm under pressure and able to manage challenging behaviour
- A good team player with strong communication skills
Essential (or desirable if preferred):
- Experience in residential childcare, youth work, or support work
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards it)
