Support Worker – Supported Accommodation for Young People

Location: Lancashire (2a High Street & Mariners View)

Hours: Rota-based, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

Barnardo's is committed to helping young people aged 16–24 build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive. We provide supported accommodation across Lancashire for young people who may be leaving care, have experienced homelessness, or face other challenges.

Our services offer a safe and supportive environment where young people can stay for up to two years, giving them the time and guidance to move on successfully to their own accommodation in a planned and coordinated way.

About the Services

2a High Street – 7 units of accommodation, staffed 24/7 by a dedicated team.

Mariners View – 11 self-contained flats with visiting support from our team.

Both services provide short-term housing and tailored support for vulnerable young people who are not yet ready to live independently.

About the Role - As a Support Worker, you will add to our existing bank of reliable and high quality workers to assist us in the delivery of these services. We regularly need additional staffing cover, particularly in the event of staff vacancies or illness, and wish to identify suitable individuals to provide this vital service. You will:
