We are seeking passionate Specialist Tutors to join a specialist college dedicated to supporting autistic young people in the Leicestershire area. This role offers the opportunity to deliver personalised, autism-affirming education in small class settings, starting in September, with the possibility of an earlier start.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach small classes of 6–8 students, focusing on creating a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Conduct some 1 to 1 bespoke teaching sessions, tailoring approaches to individual student needs.
- Develop and implement individual lesson plans that cater specifically to the needs of autistic students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- PGCE qualification and QTS
- Experience in SEND/autism or a strong interest in this area.
- Ability to create and adapt teaching materials and methods to meet the needs of autistic students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
