£24,454 £27,820 per annum (dependent on experience) + shift premium
About the Role NMB-Minebea is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plating Team Member to join our Surface Treatment team in Lincoln. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for preparing and processing components to precise engineering specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
You will play a key part in maintaining our industry-leading standards, including NADCAP accreditation , while contributing to a collaborative and safety-focused production environment.
Key Responsibilities Carry out cleaning and preparation of components prior to plating
Mask and jig parts accurately in line with specifications
Perform a variety of surface treatment and plating processes
Ensure all components meet engineering drawings and quality standards
Use measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, comparators) to verify accuracy
Complete all documentation accurately and on time
Work efficiently to meet production, quality and delivery targets
Support team members and assist with alternative tasks when required
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a high standard of housekeeping
What Were Looking For Essential: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, responsible and target-driven
Good team player with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow procedures and work to strict specifications
Good manual dexterity
Desirable: Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Ability to read engineering drawings
Experience using measurement equipment (e.g. micrometer, Fischer Dualscope)
NVQ in Engineering Manufacturing or similar qualification
GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4 or above)
Basic computer literacy
Working Hours A Shift:
Monday Thursday: 6:00am 1:35pm
Friday: 6:00am 12:45pm
B Shift:
Monday Thursday: 1:25pm 9:05pm
Friday: 12:35pm 7:00pm
Includes 20% shift premium
Overtime is available where required.
