REED/LTA are seeking a dedicated Year 3/4 Teacher to a rural primary school in Preston on a full-time basis to cover maternity leave from September to July. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is looking to make a positive impact in the lives of students during this crucial period of their education.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of all students in Year 3/4.
- Assess and record students’ progress, preparing reports and communicating with parents to support student development.
- Create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and a love of education.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons and activities.
- Implement school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, specifically Year 3/4.
- Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods appropriate to this key stage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
