What you will do:

• Lead and manage a team handling initial contacts, referrals, and safeguarding decisions.
• Oversee screening, triage, and threshold decisions, ensuring appropriate case progression.
• Provide management oversight and quality assurance of assessments.
• Chair and contribute to strategy discussions and multi-agency safeguarding processes.
• Supervise staff through performance management, reflective supervision, and development.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Management or leadership qualification (desirable)

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England
• Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and MASH/IFD processes
• Enhanced DBS clearance
