Role Overview
We are seeking a kind, empathetic and reliable Community Support Worker to support individuals living in the community across Cambridge and surrounding areas with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. You will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing while delivering person-centred support tailored to each individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs
- Support clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation and maintaining their home environment
- Encourage independence, choice and community inclusion
- Support individuals to attend appointments, activities and social opportunities
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments at all times
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Work flexibly across weekdays, evenings and weekends
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, families and other professionals
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in the care sector
- Caring, compassionate and empathetic nature
- Reliable, hardworking and committed to delivering high-quality care
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults xwzovoh
Desirable Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (drivers are an advantage)
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs
- Understanding of person-centred care and positive behaviour support
