About the Role

Spencer Clarke Group is working closely with several supportive secondary schools across in Merseyside who are seeking Unqualified Secondary Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience working with young people - whether through education, youth work, coaching, or similar environments - who are keen to gain hands-on experience in the classroom and start their journey in education.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students with their learning under the direction of teaching staff.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who may need extra help.
• Help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Promote good behaviour and support the school's values and policies.

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).
• Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for helping students succeed.
• Flexibility and reliability to cover a range of classroom settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
