Your new companyHays Education is working in partnership with a secondary school in Wembley to recruit a Teaching Assistant with a First Aid qualification to provide temporary cover in the school welfare room from May 2026.This role will involve supporting students' medical and wellbeing needs throughout the school day, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Your new role

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the school welfare room
• Providing first aid to students in line with school policies and procedures
• Supporting students with medical conditions as required
• Working confidently with secondary-age students
• Liaising with teaching staff and pastoral teams when necessary
• Maintaining accurate records of incidents and care provided

What you'll need to succeedEssential:

• Valid First Aid qualification
• Experience working with secondary-age students
• Confidence managing student wellbeing and medical needs

Desirable:

• Experience supporting students with diabetes or other medical conditions
