Do you want to work in KS2 and learn how strong support helps older primary pupils make steady academic progress?*** KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant *** September 2026 to July 2027 *** £85 - £101 per day *** ‘Good’ 3-Form Entry primary, Ward of Hodge Hill *** Targeted classroom support across KS2 ahead of teacher trainingThe Role: Support KS2 pupils through a mixture of 1:1 help, small-group intervention, and general classroom assistance. You will reinforce learning in English, Maths, and wider curriculum subjects, help pupils stay focused in lessons, prepare simple resources, and work closely with the class teacher to support day-to-day progress. Teaching assistants support teachers in the classroom and help children with reading, writing and learning activities.The Candidate: You are organised, encouraging, and able to explain ideas clearly to older primary pupils. You want practical school-based experience, enjoy helping children build confidence in their learning, and are keen to develop the classroom skills needed for a future in teaching. Primary school teachers are responsible for the educational, social and emotional development of children aged 3 to 11, which makes KS2 experience a strong foundation before training.Requirements

• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
