We are seeking an outgoing and competitive Mobile Hydraulic Field Service Technician servicing hydraulic hoses repairs in our Pirtek centre and on site in surrounding areas.
We are looking for self motivated individuals who can work well as part of a team. We would prefer experience in a mechanical plant or engineering background and will offer training for the right person. There will be an after hours call out roster which is on a 24 hour basis which you will be expected to undertake and includes weekends and bank holidays all year round. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving licence check.
Key functions & responsibilitiesSkills & competenciesThe central role will be to provide a professional On-site Hose Replacement Service to Pirtek customers. This role will include being part of a 24 hr ‘on-call’ rota with other franchise technicians.Candidates will be expected to actively promote Pirtek products and services to existing and prospective customers throughout their given territory.The candidate is expected to maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicableThe day to day management of a Mobile Sales and Service Unit (MSSU) to include:
Maintaining sufficient stock levels within the MSSU as per a franchise supplied stock list.Performing routine maintenance checks in accordance with the MSSU defect checklistEnsuring the MSSU is kept clean and tidy inside and outsideManaging all Pirtek supplied documentation within the MSSU including technical and procedural updatesTo provide assistance to Centre staff within the franchise when requestedTo attend Pirtek training courses as requested by managementGood personal presentation and adherence to Pirtek policies and proceduresWork experienceIdeal person to have plant or motor trade background or experience with hydraulicsWork experience in a technical/engineering environment advantageous but not essentialEducational requirements
