Deputy Manager – EBD Children’s Home (CM22)
Purpose: Support the Registered Manager in running a high-quality, safe, and nurturing home for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties. Lead the team, uphold standards, and ensure excellent care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and oversee daily operations.
- Support staff supervision, training, and performance.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support.
- Build positive relationships with young people and professionals.
- Manage rotas, medication, and household routines.
- Act as senior lead in the Manager’s absence.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Working towards/willing to complete Level 5.
- Experience in EBD residential care.
- Strong safeguarding and behaviour management knowledge.
- Confident leader with excellent communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and on-call.
Desirable
- Previous deputy/senior experience. xwzovoh
- Full UK driving licence.
