Development Director - Estates & Regeneration
Rate: £700 per dayDuration: 6 Months (Initial)IR35: Inside (Umbrella required)
Senior leadership role responsible for directing a large-scale estates regeneration programme within a Higher Education environment.
We are seeking an experienced Commercial / Development professional to provide strategic leadership across estates, facilities and capital development activities. The role will drive commercial value, oversee major contracts and support the long-term regeneration and optimisation of a complex, multi-site campus estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial strategy across estates and facilities, ensuring value, compliance and financial control
- Direct commercial aspects of major regeneration, capital and refurbishment projects
- Oversee procurement, tendering, contract negotiation and supplier management
- Manage large FM, construction, maintenance and infrastructure contracts
- Lead supplier performance, KPIs, SLAs and continuous improvement
- Provide senior-level commercial advice to academic and executive stakeholders
Essential Experience
- Senior commercial / development management experience within estates or the built environment xwzovoh
- Higher Education sector experience essential
- Proven track record on major estates development or regeneration projects
- Strong contract management, financial and negotiation skills
- Experience with FM services, estates operations and compliance
Desirable
- RICS, CIPS, IWFM or equivalent
- NEC or JCT contracts
- Sustainability or estates strategy experience
