REED/LTA are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Preston. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for Key Stage 1 (KS1) education, looking to make a significant impact in the early stages of children's education. The position is available to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the summer term.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons that cater to the needs of Year 2 students.
- Assess and record students’ progress, preparing them for the transition to the next year level.
- Create a nurturing and safe learning environment that encourages curiosity and active participation.
- Implement classroom activities that promote social and academic growth.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the educational environment and share effective teaching strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and behaviour.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a preference for KS1 specialisation.
- Proven experience as a Year 2 Teacher or similar role.
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and KS1 requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage children and manage diverse learning needs.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards teaching.
