The pub was relaunched under new family ownership in December 2025, with a vision to provide guests with warm, local hospitality and exceptional locally sourced food and drinks in a cosy, setting.Building an enthusiastic, passionate kitchen team with a focus on quality over quantity is a priority for the business and we are looking for a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our friendly team and help to shape our culinary direction. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career, with potential for promotion and leadership as we grow.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with menu design and developmentExecute food preparation and cooking activities to a high standardMaintain consistency in taste with expert presentationEnsure food safety and kitchen cleanlinessManage stock, ordering, and waste reductionContribute to new menu ideas based on seasonal trends and customer feedbackMonitor GP, stock control, and kitchen costsRequirementsA minimum of one year as a Junior Sous Chef or two+ years as a Chef de Partie serving 80+ covers is essentialStrong culinary and presentation skills with attention to detailExperience of managing or supervising a kitchen teamKnowledge of food safety and HACCP proceduresFamiliarity with allergens policies and complianceAbility to work under pressure while remaining calm and organisedStrong communication skillsWorking directly with the owners on strategic culinary direction in-keeping with the vision for the businessUnderstanding of seasonal menus and use of fresh ingredientsOwn transport preferable due to rural locationUK applicants onlyIf youre reliable, trustworthy, enthusiastic, keen to learn, and ready to be an instrumental part of our team, wed love to hear from you.
