Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference to a child's life every single day? A welcoming and well-resourced school in the Bury area is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs, whether you already have school experience or bring transferable skills from care, youth work, coaching, or support roles. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every pupil is given the support they need to succeed both academically and personally.
You will be working closely with experienced teachers, SEN specialists, and pastoral staff who are committed to collaboration, staff development, and ensuring all pupils feel safe, supported, and engaged. The leadership team is approachable and values the contribution of support staff, making it a positive and encouraging place to work.
The school benefits from excellent facilities designed to support SEN learners, including dedicated intervention spaces, sensory and breakout rooms, and structured learning environments that promote routine and consistency. There are also outdoor areas used to support engagement and emotional regulation.
Conveniently located in Bury, the school is easily accessible via public transport and also offers on-site parking for those who drive, making it an ideal location for candidates across Greater Manchester.
The Role As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
