A specialist education setting on the Norfolk/Suffolk border is seeking an experienced and compassionate Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with complex special educational needs.

You will work with a small class of pupils with SEN and associated behavioural, emotional or communication needs, delivering highly personalised learning in a structured, nurturing environment. Strong relationships, consistency and trauma-informed practice sit at the heart of the setting’s approach, with a focus on both academic progress and personal development.

This position would suit an SEN specialist teacher, but applications are very welcome from mainstream teachers who are keen to transition into specialist education and develop their practice with additional needs.

We are keen to hear from teachers who hold:

• QTS (desirable, but not essential)
• QTLS
• DTLLS / DTTLS
• Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or other relevant UK-recognised teaching qualifications

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience teaching children or young people, in either mainstream or specialist settings
• Show a strong interest in SEN, SEMH and inclusive practice
• Be confident adapting learning to meet a wide range of needs
• Use calm, positive behaviour support strategies
• Be resilient, reflective and committed to pupil wellbeing
