Buildings & Construction Buyer

Rate: Up to £44.00 per hour Umbrella / £32.89 per hour PAYE

Duration: Contract running until December 2026 (strong likelihood of extension)

Hours: 35 hours per week with flexible working across standard business hours

Location:Broughton- hybrid working, minimum 3 days on-site per week

A leading organisation within the advanced engineering and manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Buildings & Construction Buyer to support major UK infrastructure and capital projects.

This is a long-term opportunity offering stability, visibility and the chance to work on high-value, complex procurement activity within a collaborative, multi-functional environment.

The Role

You'll manage end-to-end procurement across Buildings & Construction, leading tendering, contract negotiation and supplier management. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll ensure suppliers deliver on cost, quality and schedule, while contributing to strategic cost-saving and standardisation initiatives.

The role also supports a long-term UK project, offering genuine influence and impact.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in procurement or buying, ideally within construction, infrastructure, engineering or manufacturing
• Strong commercial mindset with confidence in negotiation and supplier relationships
• Comfortable working in project-driven, stakeholder-led environments
• Ability to work on-site in Broughton at least three days per week
