We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our specialist provision in Gravesend, supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as associated learning difficulties. About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning styles and EHCP requirements.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may have faced previous barriers to learning.
- Work closely with a strong support team—including behaviour mentors, teaching assistants, and therapy staff—to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement strategies that promote resilience, self-confidence, and emotional regulation.
- Track progress, set personalised targets, and celebrate every success—no matter how big or small.
- Encourage positive behaviour and develop pupils’ social and communication skills through structured routines and restorative approaches.
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you are:
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision.
- Compassionate, calm, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
- Creative in your teaching approach and confident differentiating learning to meet diverse needs.
- Skilled in behaviour management, de-escalation, and relationship-focused teaching strategies.
- An excellent communicator who thrives within a collaborative team.
- Motivated to help pupils re-engage with learning and develop essential life skills.
