Procurement Specialist

Location: Surrey (Hybrid working)

Salary: £40k – £55k + Bonus + Package


Summary:

I’m working with a large, complex professional services and tech business going through a period of procurement transformation and growth. This is a great opportunity for an early-career procurement professional to build experience across sourcing, supplier management, contracts, data, risk and process improvement in a high-profile commercial environment.

This role would suit someone analytical, organised and commercially curious who wants to develop their procurement career in a business where the function is becoming more strategic, more data-led and more closely aligned to senior stakeholders.


Key responsibilities:

  • Support contract administration, including maintaining accurate contract records, tracking changes and ensuring key documentation is up to date.
  • Provide clear analysis on supplier, spend and performance data to help stakeholders make better commercial decisions.
  • Support supplier performance management through KPI tracking, reporting and contract data analysis.
  • Run lower-complexity sourcing activity, including RFQs, supplier comparison and selection support.
  • Monitor supplier risks across areas such as resilience, financial stability, sustainability and wider market factors.


Key skills:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Analytical and detail-focused, with confidence using data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple pieces of work at once.
  • Curious about procurement technology, process improvement and how systems can make procurement more effective.
  • An interest in developing a long-term procurement career, ideally with ambitions to work towards CIPS/MCIPS.
