Role Overview
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Quality Inspector to join their Quality Assurance team. The role involves working as part of a team of inspectors to verify products against engineering drawings, technical specifications, and defined quality criteria, in line with international aerospace standards.
The successful candidate will support a fast-paced manufacturing environment and play a key role in ensuring product conformity and customer satisfaction throughout various stages of build.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect sub-assemblies and major products across multiple build stages
- Verify product conformity against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality criteria
- Use a range of measuring equipment to assess compliance
- Work closely with production teams to identify non-conformances
- Ensure inspection activities align with aerospace standards and customer requirements
- Support continuous improvement within the Quality function
Mandatory Requirements
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and written specifications
- Proven experience inspecting products against defined criteria using measuring equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of Quality Assurance within aerospace manufacturing
Desirable Experience & Skills
- Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and CAA Part 21G standards
- Previous quality inspection experience within aerospace
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Engineering and/or Quality qualifications (highly advantageous)
Working Hours
- Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15
- Friday: 07:30 - 16:00
- Every other Friday is a non-working day (9-day fortnight)
