Maths Tutor / HLTA
- Job Type: Part-time (4 days a week, Tues-Fri)
- Location: Near Horsham
- Duration: Four weeks starting 29th February
- Focus: Preferably with a Maths focus
We are seeking a dedicated Maths Tutor or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong focus on Maths to join our team for a short-term cover. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality educational support and who can engage students effectively in Maths.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons and support to students, ensuring they understand the material and are prepared for any assessments.
- Work closely with the teaching staff to develop lesson plans and educational materials that meet the curriculum standards.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and additional support where necessary.
- Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment, encouraging students to actively participate in all activities.
- Address any individual student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a teaching or tutoring role with a strong focus on Maths.
- HLTA status is preferable but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging lesson plans.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A passion for education and helping students achieve their potential.
- Driver with access to a car
