Children’s Social Worker – Child Protection and Safeguarding Warwickshire County Council


Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Children’s Social Worker to work for our client within Warwickshire Local Authority.

This is a temporary ongoing contract, initially for 3 months, with hybrid working available.


Working Arrangement

Hybrid role

3 days per week in the office

2 days per week working from home


Team Child Protection and Safeguarding Team


Pay Rates

£37.00 per hour Umbrella

£32.53 per hour PAYE inclusive

£29.03 per hour PAYE exclusive


Job Specification Key Responsibilities

Undertake statutory social work duties in line with the Children Act 1989 and 2004

Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need plans, and care proceedings

Complete statutory assessments, interventions, and reviews to promote positive outcomes for children

Carry out clear, analytical assessments of risk and need

Prepare high quality reports for court, child protection conferences, and reviews

Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and professionals to safeguard children

Attend and contribute to core groups, strategy meetings, reviews, and court proceedings

Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with local authority and statutory requirements


Requirements

Social Work qualification Degree, DipSW or equivalent

Social Work England registration

Recent experience working within Child Protection and Safeguarding teams

Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and thresholds

Excellent assessment, communication, and report writing skills

Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
