THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Product Developer to support cross-category product development across branded and customer portfolios.

This is more than a job — it’s your chance to play a key role in bringing new food ideas to life, working from concept through to launch in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

In this role, you will:

• Support and deliver product development from concept through to launch
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• Manage critical paths and development trackers
• Ensure the Product Launch Process is followed effectively
• Contribute to innovation pipelines and product improvement initiatives
• Support customer presentations, sample preparation and submissions
• Work cross-functionally with Technical, Process, Commercial and Brand teams
• Assist in factory trials and product validation
• Support product launches, including specifications, artwork and samples
• Contribute to post-launch reviews and continuous improvement

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for food and a desire to grow their career in product development.

Experience & Background

• Experience in product development within an FMCG environment (ideally chilled food)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and influence others

Desirable:

• Food-related degree
• Around 1 year’s experience in a retail or FMCG product development role
• Exposure to successful product launches

Key Skills

• Understanding of the product launch process (ideally within FMCG)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confident presenter with the ability to influence
• Good planning, organisation and project management skills
• IT proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Commercial awareness and analytical thinking
• Basic understanding of UK and European food regulations
