Shift Patterns Available for an Airport Security Officer at Belfast International Airport BT29 4AB:
- 5 on 3 off - Mixed Pattern
- Day 1: 13:45-22:30
- Day 2: 11:00-20:00
- Day 3: 07:15-16:30
- Day 4: 04:00-14:00
- Day 5: 03:00-12:30
- 5 on 3 off - Earlies
- 5 on 3 off - Lates

Requirements of an Airport Security Officer at Belfast International Airport BT29 4AB:
To work airside, you must pass:
- CRC
- Access NI (Irish DBS) - Candidates pay this upfront; we will reimburse the full cost
- CTC (Counter Terrorism Check)
- Full 5‑year employment/education/address history
- In‑date photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card)
- UK residency for the past 3 years
- Full colour vision and hearing
- The minimum age for this role is 18+
The airport will accept candidates who already hold a 5‑year blue pass even if CTC is still pending, provided it can be obtained within a reasonable timeframe.
Security Agent Criteria
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have previous airport security or strong customer‑facing experience
- Communicate clearly and stay calm under pressure
- Are punctual, reliable, and consistent
- Are flexible across early and late shifts
- Present a professional image
- Work well independently and in a team
Role Responsibilities
- Passenger screening, x‑ray operation and bag searches - use of equipment and manual search techniques, to ensure no prohibited articles are taken into the airport.
- Access control and ID/document checks - controlling of access to the aerodrome, checking identification or travel documents for all passengers, staff and airport users requiring access.
- Assisting passengers - Resolving queries from customers and assisting them with their journey through the airport offering advice where necessary & high levels of customer service.
- Responding to emergency situations
- Patrolling airside and landside areas
- Incident reporting and aircraft guarding
- Escorting duties when required
