Head of Group Change – Manchester – Hybrid (2 days)
The Role
This is one where you get to build it properly. This is a new role reporting directly into the COO.
The change function is less than 12 months old.
There are good people, strong Product & Engineering set up, and plenty going on.
What’s missing is someone to pull it together — put guardrails in place, bring clarity, and make sure delivery actually lines up with business priorities.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning the full portfolio of change — multiple programmes, live at once, all needing direction
- Bringing structure to how work is prioritised, governed and delivered across the business
- Building and embedding a change framework that people actually follow (not shelfware)
- Working directly with the COO and leadership team to shape what gets done, when, and why
- Putting proper visibility in place — real-time reporting, clear RAG, no surprises
- Using AI to improve how the function operates (planning, reporting, risk, decision support)
- Protecting the Product & Engineering teams — enabling delivery without slowing them down
- Growing the team early — hiring, shaping and setting standards from day one
What they’re looking for
- You’re already a Head of Change / Transformation / Delivery
- You’ve built or reshaped a change function before — not just run one
- SaaS environment experience is a must (scale-up is even better)
- Comfortable operating at Exec level but still able to get into the detail when needed
- You understand governance — but you don’t hide behind it
- You’ve started implementing AI into delivery workflows (however that looks today)
- You know how to bring clarity to chaos without killing pace
Why this is worth a look
- Early-stage function — you get to define how it works
- Direct line into the COO — real influence, not filtered
- Strong Product & Engineering teams already in place
- Immediate scope to build a team around you
- Hybrid (Manchester) & Up to £100k
- Proper opportunity to leave a mark, not just maintain something
