Overview
Band 5 Podiatrist opportunity within the Foot Health team in Lewisham. This permanent post involves working across a range of community settings, including clinics, domiciliary care, and within University Hospital Lewisham, with a structured preceptorship programme and a varied clinical rotation across key specialisms.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred podiatry care through individualised assessment and treatment plans for patients with a wide range of podiatric and medical needs.
- Deliver care in clinic-based, domiciliary, hospital, and outreach settings within a multidisciplinary framework to support optimal outcomes.
- Manage an own clinical caseload and use growing expertise to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.
- Participate in a structured preceptorship and clinical rotations across MSK, wound care, high-risk foot management, and nail surgery.
- Contribute to service development and maintain high clinical standards in line with local policies, guidelines, and professional codes of practice.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience or demonstrated potential as a Band 5 Podiatrist with a proactive approach to professional development.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
- Willingness to engage in regular clinical supervision, in-service training, and progression pathways.
