Job Description
- Lead and develop the Design Technology department.
- Inspire and motivate students across the curriculum.
- Collaborate with a team of dedicated Design Technology teachers.
- Support and manage early career teachers, including welcoming ECTs.
- Run the department within the MPS1‑UPS3 curriculum framework.
- Maintain the department's location within the Borough of Merton.
Person Specification
- UK QTS, or in the process of gaining QTS.
- Strong academic background: degree, A Levels, and GCSEs.
- Meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ level.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a large DT team.
- Willingness to listen to feedback and engage in professional development.
