Job Purpose
This is an entry-level, sales-focused role based in Cardiff and the surrounding area, designed for someone who wants to build a successful career in B2B sales.
You’ll be speaking to businesses every day, working across a mix of inbound enquiries and outbound activity, building confidence on the phone and learning how to turn conversations into customers. This is a fast-paced, phone-led role where you’ll quickly develop real sales skills and start seeing the results of your work.
With full training, structured coaching, and clear progression, this role offers a genuine pathway into a Business Development position with the opportunity to build your own pipeline, generate new business, and directly contribute to revenue and GP growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Engage with inbound enquiries and convert interest into active customers
- Proactively generate new opportunities through outbound calling and outreach
- Speak to businesses daily, building confidence and developing sales conversations
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of leads and opportunities using HubSpot
- Follow up all enquiries and prospects in a timely and professional manner
- Work towards daily and weekly activity targets (calls, conversations, conversions)
- Support new customers through onboarding and initial account setup
- Accurately log all activity and maintain strong CRM discipline
- Participate in regular coaching and training sessions to develop sales skills
- Contribute to overall team performance and GP growth
Skills and Experience
- Strong verbal communication skills, particularly over the phone
- Confident and comfortable handling a high volume of calls daily
- Positive, coachable attitude with a willingness to learn
- Resilience and ability to handle rejection
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage tasks and follow-ups
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment where performance is measured daily and weekly
- High level of personal accountability
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or sales role
- Experience with outbound calling or lead generation
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot)
- Understanding of B2B environments or professional services
- Knowledge of DBS or background screening (not essential)
