Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech & Language Therapist with advanced clinical skills to work within an Intensive Comprehensive Aphasia Programme (ICAP) at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN). The post is a 2‑year fixed‑term contract to deliver an ICAP with a randomised control trial in collaboration with University College London and City St George’s University. It offers a chance to use specialist clinical skills, contribute to research and teaching programmes, present results at conferences (e.g., BAS, UKSF, ESOC) and write for journals. The Division is fully committed to research and development and actively supports and funds continuous professional development of its staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑dose specialist input for people with aphasia in an outpatient setting.
  • Deliver the ICAP with a randomised control trial in collaboration with University College London and City St George’s University.
  • Present results from the ICAP at conferences and write for journals.
  • Take a key role in the leadership and development of the service and staff.
