I am currently assisting my client in the Southwest identify a Lead Licensing Officer to support them for the next 6 months.
- Rate: Negotiable
- Working Pattern: Hybrid

Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Council's licensing function
- Lead risk – based compliance, investigations and enforcement action
- Conduct inspections of Licensed premises and vehicles to ensure compliance with licenced condition
- Process all types of licensing applications and temporary event notices
- Investigate complaints and support enforcement action where necessary
- Prepare reports of Licensing Sub - Committee hearings and attend hearings
Essential skills:
- Strong knowledge of Licensing Act 2003
- Experience leading a function, project or service area
- Vast experience in preparing reports and attending Licensing Sub – Committee hearings.
- Knowledge of enforcement principles, investigations, evidence requirements and relevant legal frameworks such as PACE.
- Fully qualified to carry out animal licensing inspections
