* Leading workshops to identify and understand customer requirements* Providing guidance on Network Architectures* Developing and documenting High- and Low-Level Network Designs* Design Validation and Verification testing* Interoperability testing* Network Implementation planning* Troubleshooting/fault finding* Knowledge Transfer to in- and external customers* Work in a consultative manner with customers, sales, customer services and systems engineering to scope and deliver Professional Service projects. Typical tasks & duties will include:* Run requirements and scoping workshops with the customer, delivery partners and sales.* Technical lead for major network deployments and migrations. Produce design, validation, and migrations plan* Lead implementation and/or execution of those plans* Evaluate customer networks for performance, scalability, and security and provide recommendations to customers about improvements to network configurations and topologies to prevent problems before they occur.* Develop and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of the HPE networking product data center product line, i.e. Aruba CX, AFC, Apstra etc.* Work with the internal HPE networking technical teams for placement of products and feature improvements for reliability, availability, and serviceability.* Work closely with colleagues and customer’s personnel to help test, design, and plan for deployments of new products and features.* Support networks in early stages of deployment* Formulate network management strategies* Ensure that professional services aspects of engagement follow engagement and delivery processes, working closely with the appropriate Project or Program Manager* Act as a Professional Services project leader on larger projects, coordinating the work of a larger delivery team; act as a project manager when appropriate, owning overall responsibility for network implementation.* Provide appropriate training (Knowledge Transfer workshops) to HPE Networking business partners and customers.* Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical management and teams.* Participation in requirements gathering workshops, discussions and meetings with Customer’s Design, Test and/or Engineering Teams* Reviewing customer provided (technical) information* Participation in workshops, (reviews) and discussions around design, testing, validating and implementing HPE networking solutions* Participation in (and lead if required) technology workshops* Providing input related to ‘best practices’ in design, implementation and/or migration planning, and validation & verification testing* Taking ownership of, or assisting with creating Assessment, High Level Design, Low Level Design. Test Plans, Implementation and Migration plans* Providing customers with input related to recommended configurations and parameter values for HPE networking equipment* Assisting with migration planning and support to minimize impact and downtime* Ongoing, informal, knowledge transfer on HPE Networks Solutions & Technologies* Advising, and demonstrating, if necessary, of new software and hardware features* Support of customer driven testing, providing technical feedback not only on the product but also the validity of the test* Tracking and reporting of issues found during testing, Implementation and migration* Demonstrates ability to develop solutions that can be used at multiple customer sites to enhance the availability, performance, maintainability and agility of their enterprise.* Develops reusable solutions and workarounds that are innovative and demonstrate a deep technical knowledge of the affected products, processes, and the customer environment.* Breadth of knowledge covers additional business units, third parties, competitors, and business drivers.* Recognized as an advanced subject matter expert of IT products, applied technologies and processes, combining vendor interoperability knowledge pertaining to complex IT infrastructures. May define interoperability issues between vendors' products and is a recognized expert in one or more technologies across the region. Holds a vendor or industry certification in more than one discipline area. Regularly represents business at industry recognized technical events.* Has performed troubleshooting across a number of significant multi-vendor products.* Has demonstrated innovation and ability to communicate new offerings across multiple business units. Has led a cross functional team in the delivery of multiple solutions across multiple technologies.* Ability to operate and present at all levels, and in public forums, to facilitate business discussions, and controls and leads those discussions.* Demonstrates ability to represent the whole organization within a customer sales presentation, conveying the benefits of working with the business. Ability to lead production of proposals, working across departments, for complex customer solutions. Able to lead, coach and mentor others in consulting skills.* Demonstrates ability to develop and win new opportunities through application of consulting skills.
