Role Summary
We’re seeking a passionate, self-driven, goal-focused individual with good organisation skills and attention to detail to join our team. This role sits within the Research Engagement and Inclusion (REI) Team of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) South West Peninsula Regional Research Delivery Network (SWP RRDN). You’ll work alongside colleagues passionately working to grow and improve access to research across the South West Peninsula region (Cornwall, Devon and Somerset). Your role will include supporting the REI Team in a wide range of core functions, as well as learning and providing specialised support to a range of research functions across our team.
This role can be based in Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton or Truro, and incorporates a combination of office-based and remote working. There is an expectation that the post holder will be required to travel to attend and support meetings and events across the region.

The Research Participation and Inclusion Facilitator provides dedicated support for public engagement and inclusion across the NIHR Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN). The role focuses on increasing participation from underserved communities through inclusive engagement methods, coordinating stakeholder involvement, and supporting the delivery and evaluation of engagement activities. It also contributes to data collection, reporting, and payments related to public involvement.
The current vacancy represents an exciting development opportunity for a motivated, hardworking and innovative facilitator to be involved in supporting research across health and social care settings. You must be willing to be mobile and flexible in your working approach.
Working Pattern: Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours
