Overview

An opportunity has arisen to join our Pollution Control Team as a Pollution Control Officer. The position deals with a wide range of service requests from the public and some planning consultations. Amber Valley is an attractive area in the heart of Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District National Park and close to the lively cities of Nottingham and Derby.

Responsibilities and Expectations

You will be responsible for pollution control investigations, including the use of noise monitoring equipment, and for handling complaints about noise and other forms of statutory nuisance. The role requires self‑motivation, competent communication, and the ability to take responsibility for individual work targets. You will work and communicate with people from a range of backgrounds, and your main workstream will focus on complaints about noise and statutory nuisance investigations.

Qualifications

Essential requirements include proven competency in pollution control investigations, proficiency with noise monitoring equipment, and a commitment to self‑development. A full driving licence is required. Starting salary will depend on relevant experience, skill set, and qualifications held.
