Cedar are recruiting a Value Management Office leader for a growing financial services business based in Central London. This is a permanent position reporting into the Transformation Director. The role is predominantly remote working position and office presence confirmed in advance.
This role will lead the transition from a traditional project management approach to a value-focused model that prioritises outcomes, transparency, and effective decision-making.
The successful candidate will operate in a dynamic environment, enabling the flow of value across change initiatives while supporting strategic alignment and organisational agility.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a VMO capability, including a scalable service model across the organisation
- Develop and maintain portfolio plans, delivery roadmaps, and planning cadence
- Align change initiatives to strategic priorities using appropriate frameworks and governance
- Lead demand management, including prioritisation and resource planning
- Support capacity and capability planning to optimise delivery outcomes
- Use data and insights to inform performance, risks, and decision-making
- Drive risk and assurance practices to improve delivery quality
- Establish and embed value-based metrics, reporting, and performance tracking
- Design and implement reporting tools, dashboards, and templates
- Foster collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement across teams
- Contribute to the development of the organisation’s change operating model
Skills & Experience
- Experience building and leading PMO or VMO functions
- Strong understanding of agile and/or lean portfolio management approaches
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and facilitating decision-making
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Proven leadership capability, including team development and coaching
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with governance, risk, and assurance practices
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Experience working across both technical and business teams
