Make a difference to children and young people with SEND
North Yorkshire Council have a national reputation for excellence. The SEND family of services is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to be a SEND Casework Officer to join our growing service.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities receive the right support, at the right time, in line with statutory duties and best practice.
Working within a locality‑based team, you’ll manage a caseload of Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments and plans, acting as a key point of contact for families and professionals and championing co‑production every step of the way.
You’ll work autonomously, making informed decisions at all stages of the statutory process, with support from your Locality EHC Casework Manager when needed. North Yorkshire SEND team is also supported throughout the administration process of the statutory assessment by the Business admin team.
Above all, we are looking to find the ‘right' person who will become a valued part of our SEND family of services to help us take the next steps in our improvement journey for supporting children, young people and their families.
We offer a supportive peer to peer induction programme and monthly CPD opportunities.
