Rosslyn Park Primary and Nursery School is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and hard-working Safeguarding & CAF Support Officer to work as part of the Pastoral Team and the Local Authority to reduce the risk of harm to pupils.

This is a part-time, term-time only position working 22.5 hours per week. The working hours will be Wednesday to Friday (8am – 4pm).

Responsibilities

• Play a vital role in the safeguarding of all pupils.
• Act as Designated Senior Person for the school, attending multi‑agency meetings as required.
• Complete direct work with children.
• Act as a Lead Professional when it is appropriate for the school to be the Lead Agency in Team Around a Family Meetings.
• Complete home visits where required to support the school’s efforts to raise attendance.

Qualifications

• Have experience in dealing with safeguarding procedures and protocols.
• Have high expectations of pupils’ achievements and a commitment to excellent standards.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Be literate and numerate.
• Build and maintain successful relationships with young people, treating them consistently, with respect and consideration, and demonstrating concern for them as learners.
• Have excellent communication skills with children and adults.
