Role Overview
The Professional Services Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring that client projects are executed to the highest standards. The position involves translating client requirements into actionable technical tasks and working towards their execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement and Requirement Analysis
- Understanding Client Needs – gather detailed requirements and understand client objectives.
- Translating Client Requirements – convert needs into actionable technical tasks aligned with specifications.
- Project Execution and Coordination
- Managing Project Lifecycle – oversee technical execution from initiation to completion.
- Collaboration with Project Manager – coordinate resources and address technical challenges.
- Technical Expertise and Problem Solving
- Providing Technical Guidance – offer solutions to technical issues during execution.
- Quality Assurance – ensure deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintaining Project Documentation – record technical activities, specifications, and scope changes.
- Progress Reporting – update stakeholders on status, challenges, and adjustments.
- Continuous Improvement
- Feedback and Iteration – seek feedback and apply lessons learned to improve future projects.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Expertise – deep understanding of relevant technologies.
- Experience with Azure Data Centre environments and on‑premise infrastructures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and IT hardware/software.
- Knowledge of hypervisors such as Microsoft Hyper‑V and VMware.
- Familiarity with server roles: Active Directory, SQL, Remote Desktop Services.
- Experience installing and configuring firewalls, network switches, Wi‑Fi.
- Excellent Communication Skills – convey technical information clearly.
- Problem‑Solving Abilities – analytical skills to identify issues and provide solutions.
- Organizational Skills – manage multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining detail.
