About the Opportunity
A well‑established, multi‑site organisation in Tameside is launching a new B2B support service for businesses across the UK. With a strong track record of turning around underperforming sites and delivering high‑quality operations, they are now seeking a Business Development Officer to drive two core activities:
- Local growth – building online presence, managing reviews, and running community workshops and events.
- B2B sales – identifying and approaching potential clients nationwide, cold calling, booking meetings, and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage social media presence and online reviews
- Organise community workshops, classes, and local events
- Maintain online visibility through regular advertising and engagement
- Cold call potential B2B clients across the UK
- Book appointments, follow up on leads, and build long‑term relationships
- Coordinate with internal teams (circa 100 staff) to deliver on sold services
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of business development or sales experience (any industry)
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Confident with cold calling and able to handle rejection professionally
- Social media savvy – experience in digital marketing and community engagement
- Organised and able to work with a wider team
- Resilient with a positive attitude
- Willing to work occasional evenings or weekends for events
- Occasional travel for client visits (kept to a minimum)
